Text Box: Teacher at Hope Church since August 2000 Teacher in Cincinnati/Mason area for 25+ years Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, Magna cum Laude - Miami U. in Oxford, Ohio Experience preparing students for successful performances at contests, youth symphony auditions, college entrance auditions, and recital performances. Private teachers have included, on violin: Mary Findley, Sigmund Effron, Erich Lear, Kiki Bussell, Harold Byers; on viola, Joseph Bein, Marna Street. Teaching philosophy - to teach a student the fundamentals of playing the violin/viola in a healthy way so that they are able to enjoy their gifts for a lifetime; to help students learn not only to play the instrument, but to give them the tools to make music through it with their own voice and soul.
